WhatsApp has just announced a new feature, WhatsApp video calling, which will allow users to make video calls across Android, iPhone, and Windows devices. The feature is currently only open to registered beta testers, but is expected to be rolled out soon.
The messaging giant said in a statement that over the years they have received many requests from users for video calling, which drove them to offer the new feature.
According to gadgets360, users will have to make a few steps before making a video call within WhatsApp:
- Find and tap the contact you want to initiate a WhatsApp video call with
- Tap on the phone icon towards the top of the screen
- From the pop-up, choose Video call
The feature is currently only enabled for WhatsApp beta users, but will be enabled for regular users in the near future.
